Based in Five Points, Denver, Cleo Parker Robinson dance (CPRD) is an anchor arts institution rooted in cultural traditions of the African Diaspora and dedicated to cross cultural connections. This multifaceted non-profit organization is comprised of five pillars, namely, the CPRD Ensemble, Academy, Theatre, Arts-in-Education and Arts-in-Wellbeing programs. The Academy Manager works in collaboration with the programming team to ensure accessibility and viability of each program and activity.

Position Description
CPRD seeks to hire an Academy Manager to provide central direction, coordination and management for the daily operation of the CPRD Academy and its core programs including the Youth Ensemble Training Track Program, Bachelor’s in Dance degree in partnership with Metropolitan State University of Denver, International Summer Dance Institute, Spring Student Showcases, and the Mile High Dance Festival. The CPRD Academy provides services for more than 1,000 students each year, and specialized services for members of the Youth Ensemble Training Track – an intensive training program for students ages 8-21. The Academy strives to provide accessible and affordable training for all students and participants while maintaining a high standard of training and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and implements recruitment and retention strategies for the Academy
Responsible for registering and tracking students, including data entry of customer information, logging attendance, and processing payments and scholarships
Responsible for managing various Academy teaching schedules including CPRD/MSUD Dance Degree courses
Hires, supervises, and evaluates desk staff and teaching artists
Communicates with parents, students, teaching artists, and other staff in a variety of ways including face to face, phone calls, and email.
Creates and disseminates monthly newsletter for parents and students about upcoming events
Responsible for developing promotional materials
Coordinates student evaluations, awards and recognitions with student ensemble directors
Generates and analyzes Academy revenue and attendance reports
Coordinates, plans and executes Academy events such as student showcases and open houses
Coordinates, plans and executes summer intensives and dance camps in the Academy including Artist contracts and conducts primary correspondence with all guest faculty
Keeps accurate accounting of desk staff and instructor hours for payroll processing
Overseeing scholarship portal and evaluating the applications
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
2 years minimum in office administration
Value for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance mission
Strong dance education background
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication
Must be able to work and set priorities independently to effectively balance competing deadlines
Capable of using all common relevant software tools including but not limited to MindBody, Excel, and Constant Contact
Proven excellent people and diplomatic skills
Dedication to a strong customer focus
A strong work ethic and unwavering standards of personal and professional integrity
You must have the ability to enthusiastically, patiently and calmly discuss schedules and class descriptions with potential and existing customers via phone or in person. You should also exhibit grace in a noisy environment full of young children and their parents and the siblings of the dancers!
Hours:
40 hours per week; Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00am-8:30pm & Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm (schedule can be somewhat flexible)
Circumstances will arise that require input and guidance outside of work hours.
During program weeks of showcases and summer intensives, the schedule is variable as there is a required, increased intensity of effort in the days leading up to and during special programming (approx. 5 weeks per year). Depending on the program, you will have day(s) off in the week following a program run.

Class: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt- Compensation: Salary Range: $30,000- $35,000
