The Dancing with the Denver Stars Gala is the premier fundraiser for CPRD’s Arts-in-Education and outreach program. Long before “Arts in Education” was a commonly used term, Cleo Parker Robinson had a vision. Her Ensemble would tour and those funds would support teaching the next generation dance. Today, CPRD provides dance and movement education in schools across the Denver-Metro area using the power of dance to enrich the lives of children across Colorado.
Funds raised during the Gala support schools that meet one or more of these criteria: Commitment to arts-enriched curriculum, schools with an 80% or higher free and reduced lunch rate (FRL), and/or schools located in the Five Points neighborhood.
We hope you will join us for what has been called “The very best, and most fun, fundraising event in Denver.”
Individual tickets are $250 per person
Virtual tickets are $25 per household
Dinner committee and corporate tables of ten are available, pricing ranges from $5000 to $15,000. Please contact Hillary (303-594-3456) to find out more about sponsor benefits.

We asked our Alumni Stars why they wanted to dance…. a few of their responses below:
“Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company has been a legacy institution within the Denver community for many years. Dance, culture, and the arts are important vehicles that both connect and fuel our humanity.” Ivan Burwell, StreetSource
“Cleo & I partnered back in the late 70’s. Now almost 35 years later, Cleo has offered me an opportunity to put a pause as a physician for a few hours, so I can learn the art of the dance… But in the words of Bernie Mac… I’m not scared.” Dr. Johnny Johnson, Western OBGYN
“I am honored to share the stage with one of Colorado’s most valuable treasures – Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. The dance and performing arts are very special to me because they give color, life, movement and inspiration to our communities – most especially our children. Marcia Romero, CoBizBank
“I didn’t understand the importance of dance to my own mental and physical well-being until I reached my 20s– but I’ve been dancing ever since. CPRD’s arts-in-education program helps youth of all ages develop self-confidence, address stress, promote health and receive other benefits through the joy of dance.” Bruce Johnson, Polsinelli
