Cleo on Cleo

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble dancers share talents as choreographers, setting original works on fellow Ensemble members.

On May 4 and 5, as the renowned Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble (CPRDE) concludes its 48th Anniversary Season, members of the company will showcase their talents as choreographers – setting a diversity of original works on their fellow CPRD Ensemble members and dancers from Cleo II, with additional works also set on CPRD’s Youth Ensemble and Junior Youth Ensemble. This is a unique opportunity for audiences to see another aspect of professional dancers’ lives – demonstrating the multiple levels of skill needed to create their own original works for performance by their peers. This is the first time in the Ensemble’s nearly 50-year history, that this creative option has been afforded to the dancers.
