Training Track
For students seeking to deepen their commitment and accelerate their training, the Training Track offers a structured and customized dance path. After evaluation through placement classes, students are placed on a specific track and commit to a required number of classes per week. Dedicated members have the opportunity to audition for one of our Youth Ensembles.

These ensembles perform across the Front Range in events like the Mile High Dance Festival, Dancing with the Denver Stars Gala, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, and for community partners and schools.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, dedication to the program, and availability.

CPRD/MSU Denver Dance Major
In partnership with Metropolitan State University of Denver, this program combines CPRD’s dynamic cross-cultural curriculum with MSU Denver’s academic rigor. The curriculum includes coursework in modern, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, world dance forms, dance history and culture, community-based dance practices, somatics and anatomy, pedagogy, improvisation, choreography, and arts administration. Students also engage in service learning, field experience, and internships to enrich their learning and foster a connection between MSU and the Denver community.

What are the current pricing options available for purchase?
Single Class Drop-In $20
Zumba Drop-In $10
10-Class Bundle $170 (can be used for one student). Expires after 3 months.
Unlimited Monthly Package:
- Children’s Unlimited Monthly (Ages 12 and under) $200
- Teen/Adult Unlimited Monthly (Ages 13+) $225

Where is the entrance to the academy during regular business hours?
The entrance is located at the front of the building. Parking is available in the Safeway parking lot.
What time does the Academy open?
The Academy opens Monday-Friday at 4:00pm and on Saturdays at 8:00am. We are closed on Sundays.
How do I sign-up for classes?
There are 2 ways you can sign up for classes:
a) Register online ahead of time through Mindbody. You must register online at least one hour before class.
c) Visit the Academy Desk after 4:00pm Monday-Thursday and from 8:00am-2:15pm on Saturdays.
How do I sign-up for the Summer Camp?

What is the youngest age a child can begin dance classes at CPRD?
Three years old.
Is there a Hip-Hop class for young children?
Yes, please refer to our class schedule.
Do I need to enroll in a series of classes or can I just pick classes as I go?
We have a drop-in policy, you may take classes whenever you like and need not commit to a specific series. You may purchase a 10-class bundle for a savings.
What is the cancellation policy if something happens and I cannot make a class I signed-up for?
Students have up to one hour before class begins to cancel their reservation. Students can cancel their reservation online through Mindbody or by calling the Academy at (303) 295-1759 x 17 to cancel. If a student doesn’t show, the fee will be forfeited. In the case of a last-minute class cancellation, the student’s class credit may remain in their account if the cancellation is communicated.
Are there discounts for the summer camp if I enroll more than one child?
Yes!
What do I wear to class?
To support freedom of movement and proper alignment, all dancers should wear comfortable clothing that allows full range of motion. Hair should be pulled back and no jewelry. Below are suggestions for specific genres.
Ballet:
- A fitted leotard or dance shirt (tucked in)
- Tights, dance leggings, or fitted dance pants
- Ballet slippers (canvas or leather)
Modern:
- A fitted top, leotard, or tank
- Leggings, tights, dance pants or shorts
- Bare feet (or socks if preferred)
Jazz:
- A fitted top, leotard, or tank
- Leggings, jazz pants, or dance shorts
- Jazz shoes
Tap:
- A fitted top, leotard, or tank
- Leggings, dance pants, or shorts
- Tap shoes
Zumba and Hip-Hop:
- Comfortable clothing
- Clean sneakers
For All Other Classes:
- Comfortable clothing
- Hair pulled back
