The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, choreographed by Director Ilena Norton and her creative team, will beguile young children. And their adults. Ballet Ariel infuses new life into this ages-old fairy tale of bedlam with an original and fanciful ballet set to Paul Dukas’s score made famous in Walt Disney’s Fantasia. Described as music gone wild, this spirited composition sets the stage for a delightful afternoon of mayhem spent with the bumbling apprentice, dancing goblins and pots and pans spinning out of control. Also on the program are delightful excerpts from Aurora’s Wedding in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, including the fairytale characters Little Red Riding Hood and Puss In Boots.
The very special Tea Party at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theatre with Princess Aurora and the Prince, and other costumed cast members on stage following the performance is a treat little ones won’t want to miss. Cost is $15 for Adults; $10 Children; $25 Adult and Child with Tea Party.
